Brian S. Pearson

President & CEO

Brian S. Pearson is President & CEO at American Benefits Exchange, LLC. Pearson has served in multiple capacities in the insurance industry for nearly 30 years. Prior to joining the executive leadership team, he owned and operated Pearson & Associates which specialized in servicing active duty military members worldwide until joining Madison National Life Insurance Company, Inc. in 2000 as National Sales Manager. In 2004 Pearson was promoted to Vice President and Director of Agencies and eventually became a SVP and Chief Marketing Officer. Pearson lead the development of specialty markets for Madison National Life which included military, federal and state government employees while overseeing the distribution of insurance and annuity products, which supplement existing government benefit plans. In addition, special emphasis on final expense and marketing to school teachers and small businesses. In 2008, he founded the IHC Financial Group, Inc. which is an IMO and a wholly owned subsidiary of Madison National Life Insurance Company. In 2016, Pearson along with an executive team of investors purchased IHC Financial Group, Inc. and re-branded the firm as the American Benefits Exchange, LLC where he now serves as President & CEO. While serving in this capacity, he is responsible for recruiting, training and overseeing licensed field agents across the United States and directs the development of relationships with various insurance carriers, government personnel, unions, associations and employee organizations. In addition to his executive leadership at American Benefits Exchange, Pearson serves as Auxiliary Coach with the Round Rock Express, AAA Affiliate of the Texas Rangers Baseball Club and is an active Board Member at Celebration Church. He received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Pre-Law Studies at the University of Cincinnati in 1990.

Val Majewski

Vice President of Sales and Marketing

As Vice President of Sales and Marketing at American Benefits Exchange, LLC, Majewski’s responsibility is to assist in building agencies by utilizing various marketing strategies with the ultimate goal of providing growth and support to field agents. Val has been a licensed insurance agent since 2009 and began his insurance career with Bankers Life & Casualty dealing mostly with Medicare supplement, long-term care, and final expense insurance. Majewski joined the team at American Benefits Exchange after playing 11 seasons as a professional baseball player, spending one season with the Baltimore Orioles in 2004. He also played in the Houston Astros, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Oakland Athletics, and Texas Rangers organizations. He originally attended Rutgers University and studied Mechanical Engineering. Val received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Management from the University of Phoenix.

Paul Kresowik

Regional Manager

Paul Kresowik is a Regional Manager at American Benefits Exchange (ABX), where he supports agents nationwide through case management, marketing strategy, product guidance, sales opportunities, and insurance carrier outreach. His work focuses on delivering practical solutions that help agents retain and grow their business, while also strengthening key Union and Association partnerships and recruiting new agents to expand ABX’s national footprint.

In addition to his leadership role, Paul conducts personalized retirement and benefits reviews for both federal and non-federal clients. He is passionate about saving people money, helping protect families, and positioning clients for a secure and comfortable retirement.

Paul is a licensed insurance agent with more than 18 years of industry experience. He joined ABX after a highly successful career at GEICO, where he consistently ranked among the company’s top performers, finishing multiple years in the national top five and earning numerous performance awards.

Outside of the insurance industry, Paul is an accomplished drummer based in Austin, Texas. His band, Tomar and the FCs, has released three albums, toured nationally, and received multiple Austin Music Awards.

Paul earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2005. When he’s not working or making music, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, traveling, and running.

Ron Rothermel

National Sales Manager

Ronald Rothermel brings over 25 years of financial and Insurance experience to American Benefits Exchange, LLC.  Ron’s financial career began as a credit counselor, assisting clients with financial hardships in developing a household budget and debt elimination strategies.  He was responsible for the development and growth of several debt management companies in the U.S. and Germany, where he was seated on the Board of Directors of three of those companies and served as the president of Debt Advocates of America, a non-profit credit counseling company.  In addition to teaching financial responsibility, Ron acquired his life insurance and securities licenses to further assist his clients in financial wellness.  In 2008, Ron was hired by IHC Financial Group as the National Sales Manager, where his responsibilities included recruiting and training agents working with federal and postal employees.  To date, Ron continues to speak at national events, as well as conducting educational workshops on benefits and retirement.  His knowledge on federal employees’ benefits comes from working as a federal employee with the United States Corps of Engineers in Frankfurt Germany.  Ron is also a veteran, having served six years in the United States Army and is an active member of the VFW.

Stella Hattox

National Director of Medicare Sales

Stella Hattox is the National Director of Medicare Sales.  Stella, being bi-lingual is a great resource to utilize in our Spanish markets.  Stella has had an extensive career in the Medicare Sales and Support to agents and clients alike.  She has been on assignments within Medicare corporate offices and in the field with marketing teams.  Being a Front Runner and Top Producer several years in a row, Stella is available to  educate and assist in steps needed to make agents successful via training with marketing tools and strategies. Her experience and knowledge span over 20 years in the Medicare business.   She dedicates her first line of business to her church and her family.  She is extremely dedicated and takes pride in her volunteer work with her personal manager: Tim Hattox.

Yahaira Houston

Contracting Specialist

Yahaira Houston is a Contracting Specialist for American Benefits Exchange, LLC. While serving in the licensing and contracting department, she assists agents throughout the appointment process while working with a variety of carriers. Yahaira also monitors pending business and provides additional case management. Finally, Yahaira is also heavily involved in the oversight and administration of the lead generation and distribution for our proprietary federal market lead program. She helps with content proofreading on all marketing material and announcements. Houston is bilingual in English and Spanish.
